Role Overview
In this member-facing sales role, you will grow the Society’s membership and build engagement across your assigned portfolio. Your work will also help connect members with relevant products and services, while bringing customer feedback and market insights back to the team to support better service and product development.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet monthly recruitment and portfolio-growth targets by identifying and engaging prospective members.
- Explain and promote the Society’s products and services to current and potential members, supporting informed uptake.
- Provide responsive, dependable service and follow up on member needs to encourage continued engagement.
- Prepare sales proposals, presentations and reports, ensuring they are accurate and submitted on schedule.
- Work with colleagues and other departments to coordinate sales activity and address member enquiries.
- Gather feedback and identify prospective leads through networking forums and other member interactions.
- Take part in marketing initiatives and events, and assess local market potential to guide sales efforts.
- Track recruitment, retention, loan uptake and savings activity, and submit daily activity updates and market feedback.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar sales or member-recruitment position.
- A diploma in business or a related discipline from a recognised institution, or an equivalent qualification.
- A relevant degree and membership in an appropriate professional body are advantageous.
- Ability to promote products and services, maintain member relationships, prepare sales materials and reports, and monitor performance against targets.
