Sales Representative

Role Overview

This role is responsible for growing the Society’s membership and expanding the products and services used by members. You will build relationships with prospective and existing members, identify opportunities in your assigned market, and contribute to member retention, savings and loan uptake.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet monthly recruitment and portfolio growth targets by identifying and bringing in new members.
• Introduce and sell the Society’s products and services to prospective and current members, matching offers to their needs.
• Provide responsive service and follow up on member enquiries to support satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare sales proposals, presentations and reports, ensuring they are accurate and submitted on time.
• Coordinate sales activity with colleagues and relevant departments to support a consistent member experience.
• Gather feedback and identify leads through member networking forums, using insights to inform service improvements.
• Represent the Society at marketing activities and events, and assess local market opportunities and territory potential.
• Track sales progress and member activity, including daily reports, market research, savings and loan uptake; carry out other lawful duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma in a business-related discipline or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• At least one year of relevant experience in a similar role.
• A relevant degree and membership in an appropriate professional body are advantageous.
• Ability to communicate product information clearly, build member relationships and support sales growth.
• Strong organisation and reporting skills, including the ability to prepare proposals, presentations and activity updates.
