Role Overview
Create and present short-form video content that helps customers understand the company’s solar products and installations. Based in Kileleshwa, Nairobi, this full-time, on-site role combines filming, editing, social media planning and on-camera brand representation, with visits to project sites for content capture.
Key Responsibilities
- Present solar products on camera, explain residential and commercial systems, interview people, and capture behind-the-scenes footage.
- Develop and produce educational, promotional and trend-informed videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels and Facebook.
- Translate technical information about solar energy into clear, engaging messages for consumer audiences.
- Film and photograph installations, products and project activity, then edit footage with captions, voiceovers, transitions, audio and graphics.
- Help create monthly content calendars and coordinate campaign publishing across social channels.
- Ensure published content follows the company’s brand voice and visual standards.
- Review content performance, including views, shares, retention and lead conversions, and use the results to guide future work.
- Coordinate with sales, marketing and technical colleagues to align content with product launches and promotions.
- Keep raw footage, finished videos and promotional graphics organised for future use.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in digital marketing, mass communication, media production, marketing, journalism, public relations or a related area.
- Demonstrated experience in video production, digital content creation or social media community management.
- Practical editing skills with tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro or InShot.
- Strong familiarity with TikTok, Instagram and Facebook, including current formats, trending audio and techniques for holding audience attention.
- Confidence and natural presence on camera, with strong spoken English and Kiswahili.
- Creativity and initiative in finding social media trends and adapting them to business storytelling.
- Ability to work effectively with marketing teams and solar technical specialists.
- A portfolio or links to previous video work are advantageous.
