Sales Representative

Role Overview

This role grows the Society’s membership and product portfolio by identifying prospective members, building relationships with current and new members, and supporting uptake of services such as loans and savings. Success depends on meeting recruitment and retention goals while using member feedback and local market insight to strengthen the Society’s offering.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit new members and develop the assigned portfolio to meet monthly sales goals.
• Explain and promote the Society’s products and services to prospective and existing members.
• Provide responsive service and address member needs in line with service expectations.
• Prepare and submit sales proposals, presentations, activity updates, and reports within required timelines.
• Work with colleagues and other departments to coordinate sales activity and follow up on member needs.
• Gather feedback and identify sales leads through networking forums and other member interactions.
• Support marketing campaigns and participate in relevant promotional events.
• Assess territory and market opportunities, monitor sales progress, and submit daily activity reports and market feedback.

Requirements & Qualifications

• At least one year of relevant experience in a similar sales or membership-focused position.
• A diploma in a business-related discipline, or an equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• A relevant degree and membership in a relevant professional body are an advantage.
• Ability to build member relationships, promote financial products, track sales activity, and gather useful market feedback.

Performance Measures

• Achievement of monthly member recruitment targets.
• Retention of existing members within the assigned portfolio.
• Loan uptake and savings activity among recruited members.
• Timely daily activity reporting, market research, and member feedback.
