Description:
Dicetek UAE is hiring a Helpdesk & IT Support Specialist for a government project in Dubai. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional with strong technical support expertise who is looking to contribute to a dynamic and highly regulated work environment. Candidates with a notice period of 30 days or less are encouraged to apply.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering day-to-day IT support while assisting with application support, infrastructure coordination, system deployments, and IT compliance activities. This role is well suited for professionals with broad IT exposure beyond traditional desktop support who enjoy working across multiple technology domains.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide first and second-level helpdesk and desktop support to end users.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network connectivity, and user access issues.
• Support business applications and coordinate with external vendors when required.
• Assist with infrastructure operations, including servers, networks, and system monitoring.
• Participate in IT deployments, upgrades, system testing, and operational improvements.
• Maintain IT documentation and support audit and compliance activities.
• Deliver high-quality technical support while ensuring excellent customer service.
Requirements:
• Strong experience in Helpdesk or Desktop Support (L1/L2).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting hardware, software, networking, and access-related issues.
• Exposure to application support and vendor coordination.
• Basic understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and monitoring tools.
• Experience with IT operations, software deployments, upgrades, and testing.
• Knowledge of IT audit, compliance, and documentation processes.
• Experience working in government or regulated environments is preferred.
• Valid UAE driving licence is required.
• Notice period of 30 days or less.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Windows operating systems, user administration, and IT support tools.
• Helpdesk operations, desktop support, and technical troubleshooting.
• IT infrastructure, application support, compliance, and documentation.
