Role Overview
This position puts you in charge of the commercial marketing engine behind a Nairobi-based education and international placement organisation — the team that turns interest into enrolled students and, in many cases, into candidates placed in jobs abroad. Day to day you will split your time between building and tuning paid acquisition campaigns, shaping the brand's voice across digital channels and branch locations, and leading a small in-house team of creatives and outreach staff. The role matters because enrolment numbers and overseas placement volumes rise or fall directly on the quality and cost-efficiency of the lead pipeline you own, making you a central driver of the organisation's growth rather than a support function.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and roll out the annual marketing plan, setting channel priorities and targets that map to enrolment goals and international placement quotas.
- Build and continuously refine the full acquisition funnel — from first enquiry through nurturing, registration, or placement — identifying and fixing drop-off points along the way.
- Plan, launch, and scale paid campaigns on Meta, TikTok, and Google, allocating budget across channels based on lead quality rather than raw volume alone.
- Monitor and report on Cost Per Lead, Customer Acquisition Cost, channel conversion rates, and return on ad spend, adjusting spend and creative in response to what the numbers show.
- Oversee the content calendar, graphic design output, and brand storytelling, ensuring every asset is on-message and delivered on schedule.
- Organise and attend field recruitment drives and visits to partner schools, universities, and professional networks to generate leads outside digital channels.
- Enforce consistent brand guidelines, messaging, and promotional materials across all regional branches, including those visited periodically.
- Manage, coach, and set direction for direct reports working across social media, design, and field outreach, and deliver monthly performance and yield reports to the Managing Director.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of four years in progressively senior marketing roles, including direct experience managing and developing a team.
- A demonstrable track record of running marketing within education, training, corporate recruitment, or talent placement — ideally with exposure to campaigns tied to enrolment or candidate placement outcomes.
- Hands-on command of Meta, Google, and TikTok ad platforms, plus web analytics tools and CRM systems used to track and manage lead pipelines.
- Evidence of campaigns you have owned end to end: budget managed, lead volumes grown, and targets met or exceeded.
- Strong analytical instincts, with the ability to read performance data and translate it into practical changes to targeting, creative, or spend.
- Confident written and verbal communication skills for directing creative work, briefing stakeholders, and reporting to senior leadership.
- A relevant degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related discipline is expected.
- German language proficiency and prior experience with international migration, foreign placement, or overseas talent exchange programmes would be an advantage.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A monthly salary of KES 100,000 – 120,000, commensurate with experience.
- A full-time, on-site role based at the main Nairobi office, with periodic travel to regional branches.
- Access to relevant language training programmes to support your professional development.
- Genuine leadership growth opportunities within a marketing function you will shape and own.
- Direct reporting line to the Managing Director, giving your work visible influence over organisational strategy.
