Job Description

Job Title: Sales Executive – USS
Industry: Technology / Electronic Security Systems
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Reporting To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Gross Salary: KES 80,000 – 120,000

Job Description:

The Sales Executive – USS will be responsible for driving sales and business development for electronic security and safety solutions, including CCTV, fire alarm systems, access control, and parking management systems.

This role requires a results-driven professional with strong B2B sales experience and a deep understanding of the Kenyan market. The successful candidate will focus on generating revenue, building lasting client relationships, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs while contributing to the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities to achieve and exceed sales targets
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline through strategic outreach and networking
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitor activity
  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
  • Serve as the primary contact for client engagements and ensure high levels of satisfaction
  • Identify client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Maintain long-term partnerships to drive repeat business and referrals

Solution Selling & Technical Engagement

  • Conduct site surveys in collaboration with technical teams
  • Prepare detailed proposals, quotations, and technical solutions
  • Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations
  • Clearly communicate the value proposition of solutions to clients

Sales Execution & Reporting

  • Negotiate and close sales deals with favorable terms
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates
  • Maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems

Strategic & Innovative Selling

  • Leverage modern sales techniques such as digital networking and social selling
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies, products, and sales methodologies
  • Identify untapped market opportunities and propose growth initiatives

Collaboration & Team Support

  • Work closely with technical and operations teams to ensure seamless project delivery
  • Participate in sales meetings, industry events, and networking opportunities
  • Support and mentor junior sales team members where applicable

Qualifications & Experience

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field
  • MBA in Marketing or professional sales certifications (added advantage)

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in B2B sales of electronic security systems (CCTV, fire alarms, access control, etc.)
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong understanding of the Kenyan market; Pan-African exposure is an added advantage
  • Experience in solution-based or technical sales environments preferred
