Role Overview
This position delivers front-line nursing and primary healthcare to a student population, acting as the first point of contact for young people who present with illness, injury, or health concerns. Day to day, the role holder moves between assessing walk-in patients, managing ongoing treatment and follow-up, and stepping in when an emergency arises on campus. - Carry out triage, record vital signs, and perform initial clinical evaluations to establish the urgency and nature of each patient's needs.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed, working strictly within recognised nursing standards and scope of practice.
- Act immediately during medical emergencies, providing first aid and basic life support before advanced help arrives.
- Keep patient files accurate, current, and strictly confidential in line with record-keeping obligations.
- Coach students on preventive healthcare, healthy routines, and lifestyle choices through individual education and counselling sessions.
- Help run screening, wellness, and immunisation activities, and coordinate referrals so patients reach specialist care without delays.

- Diploma in Nursing from a recognised and accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of relevant nursing experience gained after qualification.
- Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya in good professional standing, supported by a valid practising licence.
