Role Overview
This position drives revenue growth for a corporate training and professional development provider by winning and growing institutional accounts. You will spend your days prospecting for new B2B opportunities, meeting with decision-makers to uncover learning gaps, and turning those conversations into tailored training contracts. The work directly expands the employer's client base across corporate, government, development, and non-profit sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate qualified leads through outbound prospecting, LinkedIn and email campaigns, industry events, referrals, and field networking.
- Qualify prospects and assess their training, leadership, and capacity-building needs before advancing them through the sales pipeline.
- Build relationships with HR directors, learning and development heads, procurement officers, and senior executives.
- Design customized proposals and recommend training schedules, workshops, and professional development programs that fit each client's objectives.
- Deliver pitches, negotiate commercial terms, and close high-value training contracts with institutional buyers.
- Manage active key accounts to encourage repeat business, cross-selling, and long-term engagement.
- Maintain accurate CRM records covering leads, bid submissions, contract status, pipeline metrics, and client feedback.
- Research market trends, competitor offerings, and emerging sector demands to inform the company's training portfolio and sales approach.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Communications, Management, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of proven B2B business development, sales, or institutional marketing experience with documented results.
- Preferred background selling professional services, corporate training, capacity-building solutions, or management consultancy to corporate and non-profit clients.
- Strong proposal writing, contract negotiation, and executive presentation abilities.
- Demonstrated skill in engaging senior decision-makers, HR leaders, and procurement teams.
- Self-driven, target-oriented mindset with solid analytical and market research capabilities.
- Comfort using CRM systems and digital outreach platforms such as LinkedIn and email marketing tools.
What We Offer / Why Join
The role offers a monthly salary of KSh 70,000 and is full-time, based in Westlands, Nairobi.
