Role Overview
This is a field-based business development role for a physiotherapy practice, with three positions available. You will spend most of your time out in the community, meeting people who could become patients and building relationships with local organisations that can send referrals your way. Your efforts directly widen the clinic's patient pipeline and raise its profile among employers, fitness groups and other health professionals, helping the practice grow beyond passive word-of-mouth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for and approach individuals in the local area who could benefit from physiotherapy, guiding them toward booking an initial appointment.
- Introduce the clinic's services to businesses, gyms, sports clubs, community groups and other local organisations that could host awareness activities or generate referrals.
- Plan and carry out approved outreach visits, short presentations and workplace or community wellness talks.
- Cultivate long-term relationships with potential referral sources such as general practitioners, allied health professionals, personal trainers and sports coaches.
- Convert outreach activity into qualified enquiries and referrals, keeping clear records of contacts, outcomes and follow-ups through the clinic's reporting process.
- Hand warm leads to clinic staff promptly and coordinate so every enquiry receives a timely response.
- Represent the clinic professionally at all times, following its marketing, privacy and communication policies.
- Stay within approved messaging and never make promises about treatment results, fees or insurance cover that the clinic has not authorised.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A background in sales, marketing, business development or community outreach is helpful, though not essential.
- Confident communication and networking skills, with the discipline to follow up consistently.
- Self-motivated and organised, able to work toward agreed targets with limited supervision.
- Familiarity with local businesses and community networks is an advantage.
- Must have the legal right to work in Kenya.
- Applications should include an updated CV, a copy of your National ID and a passport photo, your KRA PIN, a Good Conduct certificate, school certificates, and any relevant certificates or proof of experience.
What We Offer / Why Join
This is a commission-only engagement: there is no retainer, base salary or guaranteed payment, and earnings are tied to results that meet the agreed criteria. Before work begins, you and the clinic will put in writing the commission rates, which outcomes qualify, how leads are attributed and when payments are made. The arrangement suits someone who prefers a flexible, results-driven role over a fixed wage and who is comfortable being compensated for measurable outcomes.
