Role Overview
This position is responsible for the full spectrum of HR operations across multiple locations, ensuring accurate records, compliant processes, and a positive employee experience from hire to exit. The role directly supports business objectives by aligning people practices with company policies, statutory requirements, and a safety-first culture in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update employee records, contracts, and HR systems to guarantee data accuracy and legal compliance.
- Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes.
- Implement and enforce HR policies and procedures in line with labor laws and company regulations.
- Support performance management by coordinating goal setting, appraisals, and individual development plans.
- Handle employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary actions, while fostering a positive workplace culture.
- Develop and oversee training programs by assessing needs, coordinating delivery (internal or external), and measuring effectiveness to boost competencies and compliance.
- Provide payroll support by supplying accurate employee data, leave records, and benefits information through the HRMIS.
- Administer leave schemes and employee welfare initiatives to support well-being and productivity.
- Drive employee engagement activities, recognition programs, and internal communications.
- Ensure compliance with statutory obligations such as NSSF, NHIF, and PAYE.
- Deliver consistent HR support to depot, transport, and distribution teams across all operational locations.
- Establish and manage the organization's training framework, including annual plans, budgets, policies, and provider partnerships.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong KCSE results (B+ or above).
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CHRP) is preferred.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally within the Oil & Gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and statutory compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and the full Microsoft Office suite.
