We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our security firm. In this role, you will lead all aspects of human resources, from strategic workforce planning to day-to-day employee relations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and full compliance with Kenyan labor laws.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive HR roadmap aligned with business goals, including workforce planning, culture, and DEI initiatives.
- Design and manage the annual performance management cycle using OKRs/KPIs, including goal setting, calibration, and continuous feedback.
- Lead talent reviews to manage succession planning and maintain bench strength.
- Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition, including recruitment, onboarding, and contract management.
- Create and execute learning and development plans, and coach leaders on people management to build organizational capability.
- Drive a positive company culture through engagement surveys, values activation, and recognition programs.
- Administer and optimize compensation and benefits, including market benchmarking, payroll validation, and benefits administration.
- Manage employee relations and well-being, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and wellness programs.
- Develop and review HR policies and ensure full compliance with labor laws and statutory regulations.
- Implement and optimize HRIS systems to improve efficiency and generate actionable analytics.
- Advise executives and line managers on people-related decisions and liaise with external stakeholders such as regulators and legal counsel.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Must have working experience in a security firm.
- Bachelor's degree in HRM, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
- Membership with IHRM and a valid practicing certificate are preferred.
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in HRIS, MS Office, and data analytics.
- Strong knowledge of Kenyan labor laws and HR best practices.
- Aligns people strategy with business priorities.
- Designs fair, data-driven performance systems and manages PIPs effectively.
- Uses evidence and legal awareness to guide actions.
- Clear, empathetic, and credible with all levels.
- Anticipates issues; implements sustainable solutions.
- Handles sensitive data with discretion.
