KSG is a State Corporation established to offer management training, research, consultancy and advisory services to the public sector. Today it offers services to both National and County governments, private sector players as well as those from the Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs). The Government recognizes the need to have a competent, well skilled and motivated workforce in the public service. Job Title: Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping & Laundry Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort for our guests or clients, while maintaining efficient laundry operations. This role is critical to upholding our high standards of service.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning of guest rooms, common areas, and facilities including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
  • Collect, sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures.
  • Inspect clean linens and rooms for quality and report any damages or maintenance issues.
  • Replenish supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests or complaints regarding housekeeping or laundry services.
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning and laundry supplies and alert supervisor when stock is low.
  • Use computerized systems to log work completion, track linen inventory, and manage schedules as needed.

Mandatory Requirements

For appointment to this position, a candidate must have:

  • A certificate in Housekeeping & Laundry or a related qualification from a recognized institution.
  • Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., MS Office, inventory management software).

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of practical experience in a hospitality or institutional setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions
