Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver competency-based training in Hospitality Accounting, Cost Control, Financial Management, Bookkeeping, and other business-related units.
  • Prepare lesson plans, learning materials, schemes of work, and learner assessments.
  • Conduct continuous assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
  • Guide learners in applying accounting principles to hospitality operations.
  • Integrate accounting software, ICT, and modern financial management practices into teaching.
  • Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Mentor students and supervise industrial attachment where applicable. 
  • Support student recruitment, academic advising, and other institutional activities.

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting/FinanceOption), Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • CPA (K), ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting qualification will be an added advantage.
  • TVET Trainer Qualification (TVETA Trainer Certificate) will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' teaching and/or relevant industry experience.
  • Sound knowledge of Hospitality Accounting, Cost Control, Financial Reporting, and Computerized Accounting Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal, and ICT skills.
