Job Description
Job Title: Employee Engagement Data Analyst (Fixed-Term)
About the Role
The Employee Engagement Data Analyst owns the data preparation behind World Vision's annual Our Voice employee engagement survey. This fixed-term role covers the Fiscal Year 2027 (FY27) survey cycle (October 2026 to February 2027). The analyst partners with HR colleagues across the globe and with the external survey vendor (Perceptyx) to ensure every eligible employee is included, every record is accurate, and the data foundation supports reliable, trustworthy results.
Key Responsibilities
Data Cleaning, Merging, Reconciliation, Submission
- Own preparation of the global survey dataset, combining HR system (Workday) data with separately collected office submissions.
- Apply business rules consistently and reconcile records across all data sources.
- Submit a single, validated dataset to the survey vendor on schedule, with all quality checks complete.
Data Collection
- Own employee data collection from offices that operate outside the HR system (Workday).
- Partner with HR contacts globally to ensure timely, accurate submissions.
- Validate returned data against established quality standards; identify and resolve issues proactively.
During Survey Support
- Serve as the data point of contact during the live survey period.
- Investigate and resolve participant data queries; escalate systemic issues to the Our Voice programme lead (survey owner).
Post-Survey Updates
- Process post-survey demographic corrections to preserve year-on-year trend continuity.
- Update manager and reporting line data ahead of results release.
- Resolve ad-hoc data issues as they surface.
Qualifications, Knowledge, and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Data, or related field; or equivalent qualification or experience.
- Advanced Excel: lookups (VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH), pivot tables, conditional formatting, duplicate handling.
- Comfortable working with large datasets (30,000+ rows).
- Experience running structured data quality checks across multiple sources.
- Ability to work independently using detailed process documentation and recorded handover materials.
- Comfort reading and interpreting structured HR or employee data.
- Required Language: English.
