Job Description
Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, this role is responsible for maintaining and repairing all painting and decorative finishes within the hotel. The ideal candidate will ensure that all painted surfaces, furniture, and public areas meet the highest standards of quality and appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly service.
- Reports to the Engineering Coordinator, signs in the Engineering log book, and attends daily briefings.
- Repair and maintain all types of coverings including paint, wallpaper, polish, and varnish.
- Repair and maintain decorative finishes, furniture, and coverings.
- Coordinate the repair and maintenance of large painted areas throughout the building.
- Ensure all paintwork in the building is up to required standards.
- Perform regular maintenance of rooms and public areas.
- Supervise and inspect all painting-related work performed by contractors.
- Ensure that all set procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Maintain sufficient paint inventory and place orders for materials as needed.
- Observe working time efficiently to avoid wastage.
- Adhere to the Room Perfect Program and ensure no repeat jobs are necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in painting or a related field is an asset.
- Government Trade Test III certification is required.
