Article 185 of the Constitution provides for the legislative authority of County Assemblies, vesting the legislative authority of a county and the exercise of that authority in its County Assembly. The Assembly has powers to make any laws that are necessary for, or incidental to, the effective performance of the functions and exercise of the powers of the County Government under the Fourth Schedule. Minimum Requirements (Likely)

Applicants should:

  • Hold a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.

  • Be recent graduates seeking practical exposure within public administration, legislative processes, and county governance.

  • Demonstrate strong communication, research, and organizational skills.

  • Show interest in public service, legislative affairs, and community representation.

  • Be aligned with the County Assembly of Bomet’s mandate of representation, legislation, and oversight.

Role‑specific expectations:

  • Hansard Interns: Transcription, reporting, and record‑keeping of Assembly proceedings.

  • Legal Services Interns: Legal drafting, legislative analysis, and policy review.

  • Procedural Services Interns: Support Table Office operations, committee documentation, and legislative procedures.

  • Outreach & Citizen Engagement Interns: Facilitate public participation, community awareness, and civic education.

  • Communication & Media Relations Interns: Manage media relations, content creation, and Assembly publicity.
