Role Overview
This position sits at the intersection of digital promotion, direct sales, and public representation for a recruitment and HR consulting business operating out of Nairobi. Day to day, you will run multi-channel campaigns that build brand recognition, then convert that attention into enquiries by handling phone traffic, walk-in candidates, and briefing sessions in person and over the line. The role matters because the growth of the consultancy depends on a steady pipeline of prospective candidates and clients, and on a marketing function that can respond quickly to shifting demand while keeping its costs in check.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and run digital marketing campaigns with defined targets, aimed at raising brand equity and drawing in prospective candidates across company social channels and other online platforms.
- Produce, schedule, and publish original marketing content — graphics, copy, and campaign assets — that keeps the brand active and consistent online.
- Act as the organisation's public relations voice, representing it on television broadcasts, media sessions, and promotional events.
- Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, answering candidate and customer enquiries promptly and professionally.
- Receive walk-in candidates, handle telephone enquiries, and facilitate candidate orientation or briefing sessions that move leads toward conversion.
- Monitor sales growth indicators and adjust marketing activity in line with real-time customer demand.
- Prepare and control the marketing department budget across operating stations, ensuring targets are met in a cost-effective way.
- Track the performance of assigned marketing staff and convene regular departmental briefings to keep efforts aligned.
- Record and investigate candidate complaints jointly with the Complaints Manager, escalating refund cases for executive management approval.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in digital sales, public relations, call centre administration, or marketing coordination.
- Based in Nairobi, Kenya, and available for a full-time contract schedule of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Strong verbal, written, and public presentation ability, including comfort appearing live on television and in media broadcasts.
- High emotional stability with demonstrated patience, assertiveness, and conflict resolution skills for handling candidate and customer interactions.
- Solid organisational and time management discipline, with the ability to sustain performance while working toward targets.
