Role Overview

Goshen College is looking for a dedicated trainer/instructor to deliver practical, competency-based technical education to students enrolled in its TVET programs. In this role, you will combine classroom instruction with hands-on demonstrations, helping learners build the trade skills and professional attitudes required for successful careers. Your work will directly support the institution’s mission of producing job-ready graduates who meet local industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver lessons, practical demonstrations, and workshop sessions that align with the approved curriculum and occupational standards.
• Assess trainees through written tests, practical exercises, and observations, providing timely and constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Maintain training tools, equipment, and work areas to promote a safe, organized, and effective learning environment.
• Guide students in developing workplace discipline, safety awareness, and the technical competencies expected by employers.
• Keep accurate learner records, including attendance, assessment results, and progress reports required by the institution.
• Work with other trainers and academic leaders to review training materials and improve course delivery methods.
• Support students in exploring career pathways and further certification opportunities within their chosen trade.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a field directly related to the training discipline offered by the college.
• Valid TVETA trainer/instructor license issued by the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority.
• Relevant experience in teaching, industrial practice, or on-the-job training in the subject area.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage trainees from various backgrounds.
• Working knowledge of competency-based education and assessment methods used in TVET institutions.
• Demonstrated commitment to professionalism, student development, and continuous learning.
