Job Title: Tourism Management Trainer / Lecturer
Job Summary
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Tourism Management Trainer to deliver competency‑based training in Tourism Management and related programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tourism education, a solid understanding of Competency‑Based Education and Training (CBET), and the ability to integrate industry trends, sustainable practices, and digital technologies into teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver competency‑based training in Tourism Management and related programmes.
- Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, assessments, and instructional materials in line with the CBET curriculum.
- Conduct learner assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
- Supervise students during practical training, educational tours, and industrial attachment.
- Integrate current tourism industry trends, sustainable tourism practices, and digital technologies into teaching.
- Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support student recruitment, career guidance, and institutional marketing activities.
- Ensure effective utilization and maintenance of tourism training resources.
Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism Management, Tourism and Travel Management, Tourism & Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- TVET Trainer Qualification (TVETA Trainer Certificate) will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ teaching and/or relevant industry experience.
- Good understanding of Competency‑Based Education and Training (CBET).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and ICT skills.
