Direct Line Reporting: Director

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly articulate, strategically minded Technical Sales Executive – Coatings to orchestrate our commercial outreach and expand our footprint within the industrial finishes and chemical adhesives sector. Your primary objective is to take absolute ownership of the sales and marketing function, transforming technical product features into long-term commercial contracts with large-scale builders, property developers, and manufacturing plants. This position bridges rigorous field-level corporate prospecting with structured office operation tracking; you will guide client portfolios from initial material consultations and product sampling runs through to final price positioning and high-volume order fulfillments. The role demands an ambitious, target-driven market specialist who understands the nuances of epoxy and protective coatings and can smoothly secure premium accounts within a highly competitive territory.

Areas of Accountability

Sales Architecture & Market Penetration

  • Champion the primary sales and marketing division, designing sophisticated tactical frameworks to capture untapped commercial accounts and increase industrial market share.
  • Prospect, evaluate, and acquire high-yield business partnerships, focusing on commercial real estate contractors, industrial interior designers, and hardware distributors.
  • Meet and exceed assigned individual key performance indicators (KPIs), gross volume quotas, and monthly revenue milestones consistently.
  • Evaluate shifting construction industry trends, real estate projects, and competitor product lines to protect corporate positioning.

High-Touch Account Care & Issue Resolution

  • Cultivate, insulate, and expand strategic corporate alliances with key industry accounts to guarantee maximum product retention and brand loyalty.
  • Act as the lead technical contact for client concerns, investigating material application complaints or consignment delays immediately.
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with factory production and laboratory quality control teams to tailor custom adhesive configurations or correct finish errors.

Field Supervision & Operations Coordination

  • Manage both field business development drives and back-office administration workflows seamlessly to uphold top-tier service delivery speeds.
  • Establish clear commercial benchmark frameworks, tracking business improvement trends, and refining lead-generation strategies continuously.
  • Inspire, mentor, and drive performance across auxiliary field representatives, leveraging exceptional interpersonal strengths to unlock collaborative group targets.

Analytics Tracking & Pipeline Forecasting

  • Document and archive meticulous records detailing corporate customer specifications, material consumption cycles, and credit histories.
  • Draft highly detailed weekly sales transaction metrics, monthly revenue forecasts, and thorough territory health charts for executive review.
  • Monitor collection tracks closely to ensure timely accounts receivable clearances in total harmony with corporate risk rules.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Commerce, or a complementary business discipline from a recognized university.
  • Industry Longevity: Minimum of 5 years of progressive, verified sales experience explicitly centered within the epoxy, protective coatings, paint, or chemical adhesive manufacturing industries.
  • Portfolio Track Record: Proven history of independently building, managing, and scaling an extensive B2B corporate customer database from scratch.
  • Operational Adaptability: Demonstrated capability to balance rigorous out-of-office field evaluations with highly structured administrative and database tracking.

  • Commercial Negotiation: Master-level presentation and boardroom negotiation skills, with the power to influence procurement heads and corporate contractors.
  • Analytical Reasoning: Strong diagnostic capabilities to assess facility surface challenges and recommend corresponding protective compound applications.
