Role Overview
This project leadership role is responsible for guiding telecommunications or ICT projects from initial planning through final delivery. You will align technical teams, field resources, contractors, suppliers, and clients around agreed scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations, helping ensure complex projects reach completion with risks managed and deliverables fit for purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and direct project activities from initiation to closeout, tracking progress against scope, milestones, and budget.
- Coordinate work across internal technical specialists, field teams, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Assign and manage project resources so that teams and technical outputs support delivery priorities.
- Monitor schedule, costs, and deliverables, identifying delays or variances and taking corrective action where needed.
- Assess project risks early, put practical mitigation measures in place, and follow up on their effectiveness.
- Maintain quality controls throughout delivery and ensure completed work meets project requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, ICT, or a related discipline from a university recognised in Kenya.
- At least 10 years of general work experience in the telecommunications or ICT sector.
- At least 7 years of relevant project delivery experience, including completion of three or more projects with comparable nature and complexity.
- A recognised project management certification, such as PMP, PRINCE2, PMI, or an equivalent qualification.
