Role Overview
This role grows beverage sales by building commercial partnerships with hotels, restaurants, bars, cafés and private clubs. You will work with hospitality decision-makers to win menu placements, expand distribution and deliver brand experiences, drawing on your understanding of how venues operate and what their teams need. Customer engagement and activations may sometimes take place in the evenings or at weekends.
Key Responsibilities
- Find and develop new hospitality customers, from initial contact and account onboarding through to ongoing growth.
- Build productive relationships with F&B leaders, venue managers, procurement teams, sommeliers and bar staff.
- Agree product listings, cocktail menu features, placements and, where appropriate, exclusive supply or pouring arrangements.
- Create account plans and identify ways to increase distribution, sales volume and the range of products purchased by each customer.
- Organise and deliver promotions, product launches, tastings, staff masterclasses and guest bartender events.
- Coordinate in-venue product displays and promotional materials to suit both brand guidelines and venue requirements.
- Review account results, sales, promotional spend and activation returns; use findings to improve commercial performance.
- Keep up with competitor activity and hospitality trends, and report on market changes, account progress and activation results.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related discipline.
- At least 2–4 years of hands-on experience in premium hospitality, such as an F&B Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Head Bartender, Sommelier or a comparable role.
- Working knowledge of hospitality operations, including profit and loss, stock control, menu costing and service standards.
- Commercial judgment and proven ability to negotiate, sell to businesses and manage customer relationships.
- Experience developing accounts, securing product placements or delivering trade marketing activity is an advantage.
- Knowledge of beverage products and the hospitality market, with confidence presenting to both senior decision-makers and venue teams.
- Strong communication, presentation, networking and stakeholder management skills.
- WSET, barista or other relevant industry qualifications are an advantage.
- Flexibility to support customer meetings and brand events outside standard working hours when needed.
