Role Overview
This role builds sales and brand presence across nightlife and hospitality venues, from premium bars and clubs to cocktail lounges. You will develop venue partnerships, win product placements and bring beverage brands to life through tastings, promotions and staff education, while tracking results and spotting new commercial opportunities. The work takes place largely in the evenings and on weekends, alongside flexible daytime time for planning, administration and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with venue owners, managers and hospitality teams, and develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
- Identify sales opportunities and negotiate listings, menu placements, promotional arrangements and other partnerships that support commercial performance.
- Work towards sales volume and other assigned targets, monitoring progress and addressing opportunities with venue partners.
- Organise and deliver tastings, sampling sessions, masterclasses and promotional events that encourage product trial and consumer engagement.
- Check that products are merchandised effectively, brand materials are used appropriately and venue activations follow brand guidelines.
- Train bartenders, mixologists and other hospitality staff on product features, serving methods and ways to recommend or upsell beverages.
- Keep up with competitor activity, pricing, promotions, venue developments and consumer trends in the nightlife market.
- Record sales, activation activity, budgets, inventory and outcomes in company systems, and prepare regular performance and market reports.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of relevant experience in FMCG sales, beverage promotions, brand activation or premium hospitality.
- Experience working with on-trade customers such as bars, nightclubs, restaurants or hotels is an advantage.
- Knowledge of beer, spirits and ready-to-drink beverages, with an understanding of product placement and venue sales.
- Confident relationship-building, negotiation, presentation and communication skills, including the ability to influence purchasing decisions.
- A commercially focused approach and the ability to work towards sales targets and assess brand performance.
- Strong organisation and administration skills, including maintaining records and preparing reports against performance indicators.
- Competence with standard office software and sales reporting tools.
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in sales and marketing, business administration, hospitality management or a related subject is an advantage.
- Relevant beverage or spirits qualifications, such as WSET, are an advantage.
- Availability for regular evening and weekend venue work, with flexibility for daytime planning and reporting.
