Role Overview

We are seeking a highly polished, commercially driven Showroom Sales Executive to spearhead the front-line sales, design consultation, and trade account acquisition for our premium Italian ceramic and porcelain portfolio. Your primary objective is to deliver an elite showroom experience, translating the design visions of premium walk-in clients, architects, and high-end property developers into profitable material orders. This position bridges high-touch luxury retail consultation with aggressive business development; you will manage every variable from structural quantity estimations and custom project quotations to cultivating active referral pipelines with interior designers and building contractors. The role demands an ambitious, visually astute sales professional who can effortlessly navigate technical product applications while driving consistent monthly revenue milestones.

High-End Showroom Sales & Project Consulting

  • Welcome, engage, and guide showroom visitors through our exclusive imported porcelain, mosaic, and premium sanitary ware collections.
  • Act as a consultative design partner, evaluating client blueprints, architectural layouts, and budget targets to recommend the ideal tile sizes, finishes, and configurations.
  • Deliver technical guidance regarding material durability, slip ratings, grout alignments, and wet-room applications to ensure lasting product installations.
  • Ensure the showroom displays, product panels, and catalog libraries remain flawlessly styled, clean, and organized to preserve the brand’s luxury positioning.

B2B Trade Cultivation & Business Development

  • Proactively reach out to and network with local interior designers, architectural firms, building contractors, and real estate developers to secure our position on active project spec sheets.
  • Organize scheduled showroom walkthroughs, product launches, and private viewings for design professionals to build long-term trade alliances.
  • Track local real estate developments and high-end residential construction projects in Nairobi to pitch custom finishing supply agreements early.
  • Maintain an active database of commercial trade accounts to secure recurring bulk orders and project pipelines.

Quote Management & Order Coordination

  • Draft accurate project estimates, calculate waste margin allocations, and prepare itemized commercial quotations in a timely manner.
  • Follow up systematically on outstanding project bids, addressing technical design objections and negotiating final contract terms to close sales.
  • Collaborate closely with logistics and warehouse coordinators to track delivery schedules, verify product batch numbers (tonality/batch matches), and guarantee seamless client handovers.
  • Log and manage all customer interactions, active project designs, and completed sales values accurately within the corporate CRM platform.

Market Trends & Product Audits

  • Keep a pulse on local and global architectural designs, shifting color trends, and emerging ceramic manufacturing innovations.
  • Conduct regular competitor price audits and monitor stock velocity of specific tile lines to recommend popular adjustments to the buying team.
  • Participate in product training modules to master the unique technical specifications, raw clay blends, and heritage stories of our premium Italian brands.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Entry Criteria

  • Academic Foundation: Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, Interior Design, or a directly matching commercial field.
  • Industry Longevity: Minimum of 2 years of progressive, proven sales experience within luxury retail or building materials—with explicit preference for backgrounds in tiles, sanitary ware, home finishes, furniture, or high-end architectural products.
  • Numerical Competence: Comfortable computing square footage/meter dimensions, calculating waste percentages, and drafting technical corporate pricing proposals.
  • Systems Literacy: Clean computer literacy with practical experience managing sales pipelines through structured CRM software and spreadsheet tools.
