Senior Scaffolding Design Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Scaffolding Design Engineer in Dubai, you will develop and check designs for scaffolding and other temporary works, translating project needs into safe, buildable solutions. Your calculations and coordination with site and project teams will help crews install scaffolding in line with technical requirements and applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce scaffolding design drawings, engineering calculations, reports, and material schedules.
• Analyse structural systems and verify that proposed scaffolding arrangements meet relevant design standards.
• Assess temporary works requirements and recommend practical systems suited to site conditions and project needs.
• Work with project teams and site personnel to resolve design questions and support construction planning.
• Review designs for technical adequacy and safety before they are used for site execution.
• Use AutoCAD and structural analysis tools to prepare and check design documentation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
• At least five years of scaffolding design experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, and structural analysis software.
• Working knowledge of scaffolding systems, temporary works engineering, structural calculations, and relevant design standards.
• Ability to prepare clear technical drawings, calculation reports, and material schedules.
• Strong site coordination skills and understanding of construction safety requirements.
• Valid UAE driving licence.
• UAE or GCC project experience is preferred.
