Role Overview
This position centres on expanding revenue by selling built-in and freestanding kitchen appliances to decision-makers across the construction and property development value chain. You will spend your time moving between project sites, design studios, and developer offices, translating product specifications into tailored proposals that fit the budget and timeline of each build. Your work directly influences how often the company’s appliances are specified in new residential and commercial projects, making you a key driver of long-term pipeline growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and qualify new accounts within the construction ecosystem, including main contractors, sub-contractors, property developers, architectural practices, and interior design firms.
- Present kitchen appliance portfolios to technical and commercial stakeholders, adapting your pitch to address project-specific requirements such as space constraints, energy ratings, and finish consistency.
- Prepare accurate quotations, tender responses, and contract documentation, then follow through on negotiations until purchase orders are secured.
- Conduct on-site visits to monitor project progress, inspect installation readiness, and identify follow-on sales opportunities for appliances or accessories.
- Maintain a structured account management schedule that ensures regular touchpoints with existing clients while continuously building a healthy pipeline of new prospects.
- Track competitor activity, pricing shifts, and product trends within the construction supply chain, feeding insights back to the internal sales and marketing teams.
- Coordinate with logistics and after-sales support colleagues to confirm delivery schedules, manage product handovers, and resolve any installation-related issues promptly.
- Keep CRM records current, including meeting notes, opportunity stages, forecasted values, and win/loss reasons, to support accurate sales reporting.
Requirements & Qualifications
- At least three years of proven sales experience in the construction industry, specifically selling building materials or fixed household equipment to professional buyers.
- A track record of consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets through a mix of new business acquisition and account growth.
- Established relationships with developers, contractors, architects, or interior designers is a distinct advantage and should be highlighted when applying.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to build a compelling business case for why a specific appliance range should be specified in a project.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, comfortable presenting to both technical audiences and senior commercial stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and organised, capable of managing multiple projects, quotations, and follow-up actions without losing attention to detail.
- Diploma or degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A valid driving licence and willingness to travel frequently across the region to attend client meetings and site visits.
What We Offer / Why Join
You will join a sales environment where your ability to open doors within the construction sector directly translates into visible results and career growth. The role offers the chance to work with a recognised kitchen appliance brand while building a deep professional network among influential property and design professionals. For the right candidate, this is a long-term opportunity to become a trusted advisor to major construction stakeholders, with the autonomy to shape your own sales strategy within a supportive team.
