Role Overview
You will join a growing real estate development company in Nairobi as the driving force behind its property sales and acquisition pipeline. Day to day, this means sourcing qualified buyers, introducing them to available developments through presentations and on-site inspections, negotiating terms, and moving transactions from first contact to signed agreement. Your work directly supports the company’s revenue targets, so you’ll also track sales activity, follow up with prospects, and coordinate closely with the legal and finance teams to keep every deal compliant and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively build a steady flow of buyer leads using your own network, referrals, direct outreach, and participation in property exhibitions and industry events.
- Present available developments and investment opportunities to prospective clients, tailoring your pitch to their budget, preferences, and long-term goals.
- Organise and lead site visits, walking clients through properties and answering detailed questions about layouts, valuations, payment plans, and surrounding infrastructure.
- Negotiate prices and contract terms with buyers, handle objections confidently, and guide them through the paperwork until the sale is completed.
- Maintain strong relationships with property buyers, investors, and corporate clients so that they return for future purchases and refer new business to you.
- Stay informed about Nairobi’s property market, competitor pricing, land values, and emerging neighbourhoods so you can advise buyers with up-to-date, accurate insight.
- Keep precise records of every client interaction, deal stage, and follow-up task in the company’s CRM system, and provide weekly pipeline and revenue reports to management.
- Support legal and finance colleagues by ensuring all required documentation is properly prepared, signed, and submitted in line with company policy and property laws.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing, Real Estate Management, Business Administration, or another directly relevant field.
- At least 3–5 years of hands-on sales experience, ideally with a proven history of closing real estate deals or selling high-value properties.
- A valid driving licence is strongly preferred, since you will regularly travel to property sites across Nairobi and its surrounding areas.
- Strong pitching, negotiation, and objection-handling skills, with the confidence to ask for the sale and close deals effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling you to build rapport with both first-time buyers and experienced property investors.
- Self-motivation and resilience, with the ability to work under pressure, manage multiple prospects at once, and consistently pursue monthly sales targets.
- Organised and detail-oriented, especially when it comes to transaction paperwork, client records, and CRM updates.
