Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Lecturer in Administrative Dispute Resolution Law to join our Faculty of Law. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervise postgraduate students, conduct research, and contribute to the academic and administrative activities of the department. The role demands a strong background in administrative dispute resolution, proven teaching competence, and a commitment to scholarly excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials in Administrative Dispute Resolution Law and related subjects.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessment tools in line with the university curriculum.
- Supervise postgraduate students (Master’s and PhD) in their research projects and dissertations.
- Conduct independent research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and other scholarly outlets.
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and curriculum development activities.
- Engage with the wider academic community and professional bodies to enhance the stature of the department.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must meet one of the following two sets of requirements:
Option A – PhD Qualification
- An earned PhD in Administrative Dispute Resolution Law from a recognized university.
- At least three (3) years of teaching experience at the university level or equivalent experience in research/industry as a Lecturer.
Option B – Master’s Degree Qualification
- A Master’s degree in Administrative Dispute Resolution Law from a recognized university.
- A minimum of twenty-four (24) publication points as a Lecturer or equivalent, of which at least sixteen (16) must be from refereed journals.
- Supervised a minimum of two (2) postgraduate students to completion as a Lecturer.
Additional Requirements for All Applicants:
- Be registered with the relevant professional body where applicable.
- Have the minimum points required for each academic activity as specified by the university’s guidelines.

- Lecturer Grade 12 - Kshs.121,928.00 – Kshs.187,710.00
- Grant Officer Grade 12 - Kshs.119,858.00 – Kshs.184,523.00
