Position Context
We are seeking three compassionate, relationship-driven Sales Representatives to drive community engagement, institutional partnerships, and service awareness for our premier Funeral Home facility in Kabati, Murang’a County. Your primary focus will be to establish long-term referral pipelines with key community stakeholders while providing supportive guidance to families navigating end-of-life planning. This position uniquely bridges sensitive, high-touch client consultation with strategic corporate business development; you will navigate complex corporate networks—including hospitals, insurance providers, SACCOs, and religious institutions—to communicate our comprehensive service packages. The role demands an emotionally mature, highly persuasive professional who can balance target-driven outreach with absolute dignity, confidentiality, and respect for bereaved families.
Operational Functions
Strategic Account Recruitment & Institutional Alliances
- Identify, map, and secure reliable referral partnerships with regional hospitals, medical centers, and healthcare administrators across Murang’a County.
- Cultivate deep institutional relationships with local church leaders, community welfare groups, employers, and SACCO networks to position the facility as a trusted service partner.
- Execute structured, regular field visits to corporate partners, maintaining top-of-mind brand awareness and ensuring seamless corporate intake channels.
- Launch collaborative community awareness initiatives and corporate partnership frameworks to increase long-term service accessibility.
Compassionate Client Consultation & Service Promotion
- Present the facility’s end-of-life care options, transport logbooks, and package tiers clearly and professionally to prospective client groups and mourning families.
- Walk clients through complex arrangement choices, tailoring service options fluidly to align with distinct cultural, religious, and financial preferences.
- Address client inquiries, package adjustments, and logistical concerns with deep empathy, absolute patience, and professional confidentiality.
- Coordinate closely with internal mortuary and service operations teams to ensure family expectations are flawlessly communicated and executed.
Territory Outreach & Local Market Development
- Plan and execute localized community outreach initiatives, welfare group presentations, and institutional awareness campaigns to elevate brand visibility.
- Gather ongoing feedback from partner institutions and client families, identifying specific market requirements or service gaps to inform internal improvements.
- Monitor regional landscape dynamics and competitor service offerings, feeding structured consumer insights back to executive leadership.
Pipeline Maintenance & Field Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive records of daily partner outreach touchpoints, qualified institutional leads, and family service inquiries.
- Compile and present detailed weekly progress logs, partnership development milestones, and consumer feedback matrices to management.
- Ensure absolute compliance with professional ethics codes, healthcare engagement boundaries, and internal operational safety regulations.

Minimum Entry Criteria
- Academic Foundation: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Public Relations, Corporate Communications, or a related commercial discipline.
- Professional Longevity: Minimum of 2 years of progressive, verifiable experience operating within field sales, B2B customer service, or client relationship management roles.
- Sector Familiarity: Prior experience working within funeral logistics, medical insurance, healthcare management, hospitality, or directly matching high-touch service industries is highly advantageous.
- Road Mobility: Possession of a valid Kenyan driver’s license is a distinct competitive advantage for navigating regional field routes.
