Role Purpose
As the primary driver of growth for a leading wines and spirits distributor, your mission is to dominate the coastal beverage market. You will move beyond traditional selling to become a strategic partner for hotels, restaurants, and retail outlets. Your objective is to identify untapped opportunities, negotiate high-value contracts, and elevate brand visibility through experiential promotions and tastings. This position demands a hunter mentality, capable of managing complex territories and building long-term loyalty in a highly competitive hospitality landscape.
Key Performance Areas
Territory Development & Acquisition

Design and implement aggressive sales strategies to capture market share along the South and North Coast.

Prospect, pitch, and onboard diverse accounts, including high-end hotels, bars, and wholesale shops.

Conduct professional product presentations and organized tastings to stimulate consumer demand.

Monitor competitor movements and pricing shifts to provide real-time market intelligence to leadership.
Account Management & Merchandising

Cultivate existing client relationships through regular visits, ensuring Wine and More remains the preferred supplier.

Coordinate with logistics teams to guarantee seamless delivery schedules and optimal stock availability.

Oversee on-site merchandising, ensuring promotional displays and stock placements maximize brand impact.

Negotiate pricing structures and contractual terms that balance volume growth with profitability.
Reporting & Operational Excellence

Consistently meet and surpass monthly KPIs and territory revenue benchmarks.

Prepare accurate sales forecasts and detailed territory plans to guide future expansion.

Ensure all operations comply with national licensing and responsible-supply regulations.

Support the training of junior brand ambassadors to maintain service consistency across the region.
The Profile
The Essentials

Experience: Minimum of 3+ years in proactive sales, ideally within the beverage, FMCG, or hospitality sectors.

Track Record: Proven ability to manage a sales territory and consistently exceed aggressive targets.

Linguistic Skills: Fluency in both English and Swahili to navigate the diverse coastal market.

Driver’s License: Possession of a valid license and a willingness for frequent regional travel.
