Role Overview
As the PRIME systems specialist, you will connect the needs of humanitarian and development teams with the technical work required to improve, support and roll out the platform. Your day-to-day work spans analysing enhancement requests, helping users resolve complex issues, improving data quality and preparing teams to adopt new features or deployments.
By making PRIME more useful and reliable, you will help colleagues manage project information and make better-informed operational decisions, including during the early stages of rapid humanitarian responses.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and assess enhancement requests, identify business needs, recommend priorities and translate agreed requirements into user stories and system design documentation.
- Work with business analysts, subject matter experts, the product owner and developers to shape, test and deliver changes that fit organisational needs and established project management processes.
- Coordinate the creation and improvement of PRIME reports so teams can use relevant information for oversight, learning and decision-making.
- Provide second-line support to PRIME users, investigating business and technical problems and coordinating with internal or external third-line teams when specialist input is needed.
- Work with PRIME champions and end users to encourage effective platform use, collect feedback, audit data quality and improve guidance and support resources.
- Prepare PRIME deployments for new offices, including SCI Members, and for new functionality; complete change impact assessments and develop materials to support rollout.
- Help identify user learning needs and contribute to practical PRIME training and guidance materials.
- Serve as PRIME Project Record Manager during fast-onset humanitarian responses until a project is formally established.
