Role Overview
As the Marketing Executive for a hospitality property in Ngara, Nairobi, you will own the day-to-day execution of digital and offline campaigns that fill rooms and grow corporate accounts. Your work directly influences occupancy rates, direct booking volume, and the hotel's reputation across online travel agencies and social platforms. Reporting to the management team, you will balance creative content production with hands-on B2B sales and data-driven channel optimisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and publish daily photo, video, and graphic content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn, maintaining a consistent brand voice.
- Set up and manage paid campaigns on social platforms and search engines, then tweak targeting and creative to send more traffic to the hotel's direct booking site.
- Monitor and reply to guest reviews on TripAdvisor, Google My Business, and social channels to safeguard the hotel's online reputation.
- Keep every OTA listing — Booking.com, Expedia, Airbnb, and others — accurate and appealing by updating room inventory, rates, amenities, and high-resolution images.
- Run flash sales, limited-time offers, and rate adjustments on distribution channels to lift occupancy when demand is low.
- Seek out and pitch corporate clients, event organisers, and travel agents for conference space, group bookings, and extended-stay contracts.
- Oversee the creation of printed materials such as menus, event brochures, in-house displays, and local flyers.
- Analyse conversion data, campaign engagement, lead sources, and return on investment across all channels, and carry out regular competitor and market research in Ngara and the wider Nairobi area.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A diploma or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales, or a similar field.
- Two to four years of hands-on sales and marketing experience in a hotel, restaurant, or other hospitality setting.
- Practical familiarity with OTA back-office dashboards, social media management platforms, and hotel property management systems.
- A commercial mindset — you understand how hospitality sales pipelines work and how to bring in new guests and revenue.
- The ability to move fluidly between creating digital content and building relationships with corporate clients in person.
- Strong spoken and written communication, with close attention to brand image and detail.
