Role Overview

As an Installer, you are the face of the service on the customer's premises — arriving on schedule, positioning and securing equipment, and completing every step of the setup so the system runs safely and performs the way it should from day one. The work blends hands-on technical skill with customer interaction: you test and verify the installation, then walk the customer through how their new products operate and how to keep them running. Your attention to safety, workmanship, and clear communication is what keeps jobs moving on time and protects the quality of the service the business delivers.

Key Responsibilities

• Sync with dispatch each day to confirm appointments, routes, and job details, and manage your schedule so customers are served within their assigned windows.
• Carry and stage tools and materials at the customer's premises, then position and secure equipment in its designated location to complete the setup.
• Test electrical equipment and systems, including routers and related service components, to confirm everything functions correctly and safely before handover.
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot routers and service systems, making adjustments or repairs so performance meets expected standards.
• Instruct customers on the features and functionality of the installed products, explain operation and maintenance information, and highlight available add-on products that suit their needs.
• Direct and coordinate fellow installers on site, keeping the crew on pace so tasks are finished within the allotted time frame.
• Assess the work and quality standards of sub-contractors operating within your infrastructure boundaries, reporting concerns as they arise.
• Keep installation tools and equipment in safe working order, and assist with parts handling, shipping, receiving, inventory counts, and customer paperwork as needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma; a certificate or diploma, or completion of a trade school program or technical training course, is an advantage.
• Practical, hands-on experience installing and adjusting internet equipment, including routers, cabling, and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with testing electrical equipment and verifying that installations are safe and fully functional.
• Ability to troubleshoot routers and service systems and resolve issues on site.
• Working knowledge of installation tools, electrical safety practices, and routine maintenance procedures.
• Physically fit and comfortable with demanding conditions — crawling into small spaces, working across all climates, and handling equipment and materials throughout the shift.
• Composure and clarity when explaining technical details to customers, plus the discipline to keep ID, safety, and courtesy equipment in use at all times.
