Industry: Medical Devices / Laboratory Equipment Supplier
Gross Salary: Kshs. 18,000 + Commissions
Location: Embu
Job Summary
We are seeking two high-energy, technically inclined Field Sales Marketers to spearhead our commercial footprint and institutional account acquisition across the region. Operating from our Embu hub, your primary focus will be to establish strategic commercial networks with hospitals, diagnostic clinics, university research wings, and independent laboratories. This position bridges consultative medical sales with direct, cold-outreach field execution; you will manage every stage of the client acquisition cycle from initial clinical door-knocking and live equipment testing demonstrations through to final pricing agreements and multi-year supply contracts.
The role demands an ambitious, target-motivated field professional who can master complex scientific product portfolios and confidently present high-value laboratory solutions to pathologists, procurement heads, and chief medical officers.
Key Responsibilities
Account Sourcing & Field Pipeline Growth
- Map, target, and systematically pitch our laboratory equipment, diagnostic reagents, and scientific services to healthcare centers, research boards, and corporate institutions.
- Execute consistent daily field visits across the territory, converting unmapped clinics and medical facilities into verified commercial accounts.
- Deliver polished, highly technical product demonstrations and equipment feature run-throughs to laboratory technicians and institutional buyers.
- Secure and maintain an active pipeline of public and private medical facilities to achieve assigned monthly and quarterly sales volume milestones.
Client Management & Order Fulfillment
- Serve as the principal commercial liaison for new and legacy clinical clients, resolving product delivery or maintenance complaints within fixed timelines.
- Draft precise price quotations and tender submissions, matching institutional budget bounds with product options.
- Team up with central warehouse logistics personnel to ensure all delicate medical instruments and diagnostic inputs reach clients on time.
- Cultivate deep professional connections with key medical personnel, procurement committees, and laboratory managers to ensure long-term stock contract renewals.
Trade Auditing & Market Intelligence
- Track territory competitor pricing grids, localized distributor schemes, and rising product trends to guide management's market adjustments.
- Index and maintain structured, accurate records of client contact parameters, equipment installations, and future restock timelines within CRM frameworks.
- Compile and present detailed daily activity summaries and weekly sales forecasts for sales coordination review.
- Coordinate and represent the corporate brand during regional medical trade fairs, health sector conferences, and product launch events.
Qualifications
Education
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Technology, or a closely matching scientific field.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive, verified experience handling direct field B2B sales, healthcare prospecting, or medical representative portfolios.
- Prior experience pitching to or navigating the procurement operations of research facilities, public/private hospitals, and NGO health programs is a distinct advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Technical Communication: Superb ability to translate complex laboratory technical parameters, component capacities, and medical utility indicators into clear benefits for buyers.
- Target Resilience: Highly driven self-starter who thrives under performance-based incentives and maintains consistent focus under independent field pressures.
- Negotiation Capability: Polished interpersonal style with a natural knack for handling client pushback, securing premium price loops, and locking down complex institutional deals.
- Territory Organization: Strong route-planning capabilities to maximize client visit frequencies across the expansive Embu economic footprint.
Benefits & Work Environment
- Performance-Linked Rewards: Supplement your base pay structure with an uncapped, aggressive commission architecture keyed directly to volume conversions.
- Niche Sector Mastery: Deepen your technical knowledge of medical diagnostics, specialized engineering tools, and large-scale healthcare supply systems.
- Territory Autonomy: Take complete ownership of an expanding territory footprint, driving commercial strategies with a high level of daily operational freedom.
