Role Overview
This entry-level communications role places you at the center of live client work, where you will help translate briefs into clear, creative output across traditional and digital channels. You will collaborate with strategists and creative teammates, absorbing how campaigns are planned, produced, and measured while contributing your own ideas. The position matters because it supports the day-to-day delivery that keeps client communications moving and gives the team an extra pair of hands, eyes, and ears on every project.
Key Responsibilities
- Support account and strategy teams on assigned client projects, helping turn briefs into actionable tasks, timelines, and deliverables.
- Draft, edit, and proofread communications materials such as social posts, newsletter copy, media notes, and internal updates.
- Conduct research on audiences, competitors, industry trends, and media outlets to inform recommendations and creative concepts.
- Monitor media coverage, social conversations, and campaign performance, then compile clear summaries and reports for team review.
- Participate in brainstorms and creative reviews, offering fresh perspectives and helping refine ideas into presentable concepts.
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, presentations, approvals, and content calendars, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
- Assist with publishing, scheduling, and community management across relevant channels while following brand and client guidelines.
- Take on ad hoc communications tasks as client needs shift, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new tools or processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English, or a related field.
- 0 to 1 years of relevant experience through internships, coursework, campus media, freelance projects, or volunteer communications work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
- Basic understanding of PR, social media, content marketing, or integrated communications principles.
- Comfortable conducting research, organizing information, and managing several tasks with deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with common workplace tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; familiarity with social platforms and analytics basics is a plus.
- Curious, collaborative, and proactive, with a genuine interest in learning from strategists, creatives, and client-facing team members.
- Portfolio or writing samples that demonstrate clear thinking and strong editing skills preferred.
