Direct Sales Executives

Role Overview

This field-based position puts you on the front line of subscriber growth for fixed wireless and telecom services, splitting your week between on-the-ground activations, face-to-face sign-ups, and follow-through with customers you have already brought on board. You are the person who turns a passing conversation at a mall kiosk or estate roadshow into a verified, activated, and retained subscriber — and who keeps the pipeline honest by tracking what actually converts. Because the role sits directly between the brand and the community, your daily execution shapes both revenue numbers and how the service is perceived in the neighbourhoods you cover.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive new subscriber acquisition through planned field activities including roadshows, estate activations, and mall campaigns, working toward agreed daily and monthly targets.
• Walk every new customer through the full onboarding journey, completing KYC checks correctly and making sure they understand the product, terms, and how to get help after activation.
• Monitor acquisition and onboarding turnaround against service-level agreements, flagging delays before they turn into customer complaints.
• Follow up with customers who fall outside compliance or payment terms to arrange return of company devices, documenting each recovery attempt.
• Act as first point of contact for customer problems in the field — running basic troubleshooting and resolving what you can, then escalating network or account issues that sit beyond your remit to the right internal team.
• Compile daily achievement figures and contribute to monthly analysis of local market trends, feeding dashboards used in weekly performance reviews and preparing ad-hoc reports when requested.
• Keep a running watch on competitor pricing, promotions, and device offers in your territory, and translate those observations into practical suggestions for products or packages that would land better with local customers.
• Partner with line management to shape, launch, and adjust sales initiatives based on what the field data is telling you.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Graduate degree or diploma in Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and practical experience.
• At least one year in outdoor or field sales; previous telecom experience is preferred, and familiarity with telecom or fixed wireless market trends is a distinct advantage.
• Commercial awareness that covers competitor positioning, handset and device ranges, package structures, and how commission schemes work.
• Comfortable with technology and able to explain 5G and fixed wireless services clearly to customers who are new to them.
• Demonstrated resilience — you can keep working a territory and hitting stretch targets even when a week starts slowly.
• Entrepreneurial instincts: you spot an opportunity in a location or a customer segment and act on it without waiting to be told.
• Strong planning and organisational habits, with the ability to manage your own schedule, reporting deadlines, and follow-ups without close supervision.
• Self-motivated, upbeat, and energetic in customer-facing settings.
