Role Overview
This field-based position owns business growth across a defined territory for Jackfruit, bringing new schools into the loan program while keeping the existing portfolio healthy. Day to day, the job blends prospecting and relationship building with credit evaluation, client training, and repayment monitoring. Because it sits between head office and the schools Jackfruit serves, the role is central to how lending policies, risk controls, and customer confidentiality are actually carried out on the ground.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect for and onboard new schools that can benefit from Jackfruit’s loan products, meeting agreed monthly recruitment targets.
- Develop trusted-advisor relationships with school leaders so their financing needs are understood and met within program guidelines.
- Carry out credit scoring for loan applicants through precise, detail-oriented data capture, and verify each applicant’s financial profile before it moves to review.
- Train approved schools on how to manage their Jackfruit loans, covering repayment steps and project rules.
- Track how loan-funded projects and asset purchases are carried out, confirming that money is spent for its intended purpose.
- Monitor loan repayments, pursue timely collections, and put corrective plans in place when accounts fall behind; work with internal colleagues toward a 100% on-time repayment rate.
- Offer continuing financial guidance to schools, answer their questions, and keep client relationships constructive.
- Keep client records and application statuses accurate, chase up pending applications, join regional meetings and peer review sessions, and handle other education finance duties assigned by the Team Leader or Head of Operations.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Relevant diploma from a recognized institution.
- Certificate in basic computer skills.
- At least 18 months of sales experience, with preference for backgrounds in school financing and SME lending.
- Documented achievements against sales targets and in maintaining portfolio quality.
- Ability to assess creditworthiness and handle financial data with accuracy and discretion.
- Confidence in managing collections and addressing delinquent accounts with corrective action.
- Strong interpersonal skills for advising school leaders and representing Jackfruit professionally in the field.
- Willingness to travel within the assigned area and collaborate with head office teams.
