Role Overview
This is a hands-on, dual-discipline position that carries responsibility for both revenue generation and the entire digital footprint of a boutique property. On any given day you might be shooting a room or restaurant reel in the morning, sitting down with a corporate client over a rate agreement in the afternoon, and reconciling ad spend against direct bookings before you leave. The role exists because a small hotel cannot afford to treat sales and marketing as separate functions — the person in this seat builds the pipeline, tells the story, and protects margin by pulling bookings away from third-party channels and back onto the property's own website.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute a sales plan against occupancy, ADR, and revenue targets, then track booking pace and adjust tactics as demand shifts.
- Prospect, pitch, and close corporate accounts, group blocks, micro-weddings, and private events — including site visits, proposals, rate negotiations, and post-booking follow-through.
- Own the hotel's social channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) end to end: plan the content calendar, film and edit Reels, TikToks, and photography, publish, and actively engage with the audience.
- Serve as the online voice of the property, responding promptly to direct messages, comments, and guest reviews on Google, TripAdvisor, and OTA platforms, and routing service issues to the operations team.
- Set up, monitor, and optimise paid campaigns in Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads, testing creative and audiences with the goal of driving direct website bookings and reducing reliance on OTA commissions.
- Develop relationships with local tourism boards, travel influencers, event planners, and corporate partners, converting those contacts into mid-week stays and broader community visibility.
- Design, write, and schedule monthly newsletters and promotional emails to the past-guest database, with attention to segmentation and rebooking prompts.
- Compile and present monthly reporting on marketing performance, ROAS, and sales pipeline activity to management.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree or diploma in Marketing, Hospitality Management, Communications, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 2–3 years of experience in hospitality sales, digital marketing, or luxury brand management.
- Confident, current user of Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, with working proficiency in video and photo editing tools such as Canva and CapCut, and the ability to shoot clean content on a phone or camera.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for aesthetics and the ability to write in a tone that fits a boutique brand rather than a corporate template.
- Analytical grounding in Google Analytics and Meta Ads Manager, plus a working understanding of how to track direct booking conversions.
- Comfort operating across review platforms and OTA extranets to manage reputation and respond to guest feedback.
Why Join Us
- You hold the pen on the brand — social, reviews, and email — instead of executing a plan handed down from a head office.
- Success is visible and measurable: occupancy, ADR, return on ad spend, and the share of bookings that come direct.
- The scope spans sales calls, content production, paid media, and partnership building, so no two weeks look alike.
- Your work directly shapes how guests discover, book, and remember the property.
