- Administer LOSHAK Core and HCAP questionnaires through the approved CAPI application, covering topics such as demographics, healthcare use, household finances, and family caregiving.
- Carry out cognitive assessments, including the Swahili Mental State Examination, word recall, and animal-naming tasks, following standard instructions and allowing participants adequate time.
- Use study guidelines to identify when a proxy informant is appropriate for a participant with substantial cognitive or physical limitations.
- Take blood pressure, hand-grip strength, height, weight, and waist and hip measurements using the supplied equipment and prescribed procedures.
- Issue and retrieve activity trackers for selected participants, monitor device condition, and promptly report faults or other operational concerns.
- Review entries for completeness and consistency, synchronize data daily to the secure study server, and respond to data-quality queries from the review team.
- Record household visits, follow-up attempts, absences, and refusals; submit daily progress updates; attend briefings and debriefings; and report field, safety, ethical, technical, or data concerns to the supervisor.
- Protect study equipment and records, follow research and organizational procedures, and complete other relevant field duties assigned by the supervisor.
