Role Overview

We are seeking an aggressive, commercially driven Automotive Lubricants Sales Representative to expand our downstream energy footprint. Your primary mission is to capture market share by actively prospecting, consulting, and closing deals with high-volume accounts including commercial garages, transport fleets, service stations, and retail distributors. This position blends field-level relationship building with technical product positioning; you will guide clients from initial product demonstrations through to consistent commercial orders. The role demands an energetic field negotiator who understands the local petroleum landscape and can comfortably turn technical advantages into profitable business volume.

Areas of Accountability

Commercial Expansion & Target Attainment

  • Proactively map, target, and acquire new B2B and retail business opportunities for automotive lubricants within the designated route.

  • Pitch, secure, and deliver petroleum lubricant products directly to workshops, transit owners, retail shops, and corporate fleets.

  • Consistently execute field strategies to achieve or exceed monthly individual sales quotas and overall business growth.

Partnership Management & Consultation

  • Cultivate and insulate relationships with our existing client database to guarantee high retention and consistent re-orders.

  • Offer field-level product advice, guiding mechanics and fleet owners on the correct oil grades, viscosity demands, and engine applications.

  • Manage customer orders, coordinate delivery logistics, and resolve field service issues with ultimate professionalism.

Intelligence Gathering & Analytical Reports

  • Monitor local competitor activities, changing pricing structures, and product movements within the regional petroleum market.

  • Draft and submit structured weekly sales logs, transaction forecasts, and comprehensive territory health updates.

  • Document and channel direct field feedback regarding evolving consumer trends to help refine internal promotional strategies.

Technical Expertise & Brand Visibility

  • Master the technical specifications, performance benefits, and operating advantages of our full petroleum inventory.

  • Conduct field-level training sessions and product activation events for mechanics and retailers to elevate brand credibility.

  • Boost point-of-sale visibility across assigned retail hubs through consistent merchandising and product placement.

Skills & Experience Required

Minimum Criteria

  • Education: Diploma in Sales & Marketing, Business Administration, or a matching corporate discipline.

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of proven, progressive field experience specializing in petroleum products, with a heavy emphasis on lubricants.

  • Market Knowledge: Deep operational understanding of automotive lubricants, application standards, and regional mechanical trade setups.

Performance Traits

  • Autonomous Drive: Proven ability to structure a daily field schedule, route plan, and hit high sales quotas under minimal direct management.
