Role Overview
This role exists to keep the flow of goods, money, and information moving smoothly between the company and its customers. Day to day, you will monitor credit accounts, chase overdue payments, support stock allocation across mobile warehouses, and coordinate deliveries—while stepping in to resolve customer issues and prepare reports that guide management decisions. You are the operational bridge between sales, finance, and logistics, making sure every order is documented, every payment is reconciled, and every delivery is accounted for.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce the company credit policy by reviewing new credit applications, checking customer creditworthiness, and setting appropriate terms before accounts are opened.
- Monitor the full debtor’s ledger, produce monthly statements, reconcile customer payments, and chase overdue balances until they are settled.
- Create sales orders, acknowledge purchase orders, and convert them into delivery documents without errors or delays.
- Maintain clean, up-to-date customer master data and coordinate with the sales team on order status, delivery dates, and any clarifications needed from the buyer.
- Plan product allocation based on customer forecasts and available stock, then oversee transfers to mobile warehouses and reconcile any stock variances.
- Manage the return of empty crates, cans, and unsold products, ensuring all returns are recorded and losses are kept to a minimum.
- Arrange transport for customer deliveries by working with transporters and internal teams, tracking performance, and keeping accurate transport records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales, credit, and stock reports for management, and follow up on customer complaints until they are resolved.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
- CPA Part II or higher.
- At least 3 years of experience in a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.
- At least 3 years of hands-on use of an ERP system; Syspro knowledge is a plus.
- Advanced Excel skills—comfortable with pivot tables, lookups, and formatting large datasets.
- Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain account issues clearly to customers and internal teams.
- A master’s degree in business management is an added advantage.
