Torentify is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Remote Bookkeeper to support ongoing financial operations for a growing privately held company. This is a standalone accounting role responsible for managing full-cycle bookkeeping activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting.
The selected candidate will work directly with the company owner and help manage daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance. This opportunity is available immediately as part of a planned transition process and is suitable for professionals who can work independently in a remote environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
• Maintain accurate financial data and records within Workamajig accounting software.
• Prepare routine financial reports and support financial reporting requirements.
• Assist with budgeting processes and financial planning activities.
• Maintain organized and compliant financial documentation.
• Collaborate directly with the owner by providing financial insights and reporting support.
• Support a smooth transition of bookkeeping responsibilities during the planned retirement transition.
Requirements:
• Proven experience in a standalone bookkeeping or accounting position.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong communication skills and reliability.
• Ability to manage ongoing accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Experience with Workamajig or similar project-based accounting software is preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
• Full-cycle bookkeeping, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
• Account reconciliation, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting.
• Financial data management, budgeting support, and accounting software.
