Job Title: Assistant Marketing Manager (FMCG)

Job Purpose

We are seeking an Assistant Marketing Manager (FMCG) to support the development and execution of integrated marketing strategies that drive brand growth and sales. The role involves brand management, market research, product marketing, and campaign execution across multiple channels in a fast‑paced FMCG environment.

Your Role

  • Assist in building and executing marketing plans for assigned brands or product lines.

  • Link marketing activities to sales objectives and translate consumer insights into actionable campaigns.

Main Duties

Marketing Strategy & Planning

  • Assist in developing and executing integrated marketing strategies aligned with growth objectives.

  • Support the creation and implementation of annual marketing plans and campaigns.

  • Monitor campaign performance and recommend adjustments to improve effectiveness.

Brand Management

  • Support brand positioning, messaging, and identity for consistency across all channels.

  • Help build brand awareness and strengthen market presence.

  • Work closely with the sales team to align marketing initiatives with sales targets.

Market Research & Consumer Insights

  • Conduct market research to understand consumer behavior, preferences, and trends.

  • Analyze competitor activities and market developments.

  • Turn insights into clear, actionable marketing plans.

Product Marketing & Go‑to‑Market

  • Support new product development (NPD) through research and positioning input.

  • Help design go‑to‑market strategies, including pricing, packaging, distribution, and promotion.

  • Coordinate product launch activities with internal teams and external partners.

Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute marketing campaigns across digital, retail, and trade channels.

  • Liaise with advertising agencies, media partners, and creative teams.

  • Track campaign ROI and performance metrics.

Trade & Sales Support

  • Collaborate with sales on trade marketing initiatives to boost visibility and sales.

  • Support promotions, activations, in‑store campaigns, and merchandising.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor key marketing KPIs (brand performance, reach, sales impact).

  • Prepare regular reports and presentations and make data‑driven recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in FMCG marketing, with a focus on brand building and product marketing.

  • Demonstrated experience in marketing campaigns and product launches.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of consumer and trade marketing dynamics in FMCG.

  • Strong analytical and market research skills.

  • Practical experience in brand management and product marketing.

  • Strategic thinking and planning abilities.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
