Job Description

The role involves developing and executing route-to-market strategies, building strong relationships with hospitality and retail buyers, securing product placement across key accounts, and expanding distribution networks. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in related sectors, with demonstrated success in opening new markets and exceeding sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue across hospitality, retail, tourism, and corporate channels.
  • Identify, prospect, and onboard new customers across key segments including hotels, lodges, resorts, supermarkets, gourmet retailers, distributors, curio shops, jewellery retailers, gift shops, and corporate clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as hotel managers, procurement teams, chefs, retail buyers, and distributors.
  • Secure product listings, negotiate supply agreements, and grow long-term accounts across all customer segments.
  • Develop and implement territory and route-to-market plans to expand coverage across key regions and tourism areas.
  • Conduct regular field visits for meetings, product presentations, sampling, and in-store or in-lodge support.
  • Ensure strong account performance by monitoring stock levels, product placement, sales movement, and merchandising standards.
  • Manage distributor relationships to ensure proper coverage, pricing consistency, and reliable product availability.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, pipeline, forecasts, and market feedback, and support promotions, seasonal campaigns, and corporate gifting activities in coordination with operations and logistics teams.

Key Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
  • Experience in related industries.
  • Experience managing key accounts, distributors, and clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel extensively across Kenya as required.
  • Existing relationships within hospitality, retail, tourism, jewellery, or distribution networks will be a significant advantage.
