Job Overview:
An IT and software development company in Ngong Road is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive. The role involves prospecting new clients, managing existing accounts, promoting software solutions, and contributing to strategic sales growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Sales
Identify, prospect, and develop new B2B business opportunities
Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research
Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets
Client Relationship Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing corporate clients
Understand client needs and recommend suitable software solutions
Ensure excellent customer experience and long-term client retention
Market Research & Strategy
Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients
Provide insights to guide product positioning and sales strategies
Identify new markets and growth opportunities
Product Presentation & Promotion
Present and demonstrate software solutions to prospective clients
Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations
Clearly articulate product value and competitive advantages
Negotiation & Closing
Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients
Close deals efficiently and professionally
Follow up on leads to ensure conversion
Reporting & Administration
Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports
Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools or internal systems
Collaboration
Work with technical and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
Provide client feedback to improve products and services
Key Requirements:
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field
Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or similar role
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Excellent presentation and persuasion abilities
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or CRM tools is an advantage
