Job Description

Job Overview:
An IT and software development company in Ngong Road is seeking a results-driven Business Development Executive. The role involves prospecting new clients, managing existing accounts, promoting software solutions, and contributing to strategic sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify, prospect, and develop new B2B business opportunities

  • Generate leads through networking, cold calling, referrals, and market research

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue targets

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing corporate clients

  • Understand client needs and recommend suitable software solutions

  • Ensure excellent customer experience and long-term client retention

Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and potential clients

  • Provide insights to guide product positioning and sales strategies

  • Identify new markets and growth opportunities

Product Presentation & Promotion

  • Present and demonstrate software solutions to prospective clients

  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and presentations

  • Clearly articulate product value and competitive advantages

Negotiation & Closing

  • Negotiate pricing and contract terms with clients

  • Close deals efficiently and professionally

  • Follow up on leads to ensure conversion

Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions

  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports

  • Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools or internal systems

Collaboration

  • Work with technical and support teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery

  • Provide client feedback to improve products and services

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field

  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or similar role

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent presentation and persuasion abilities

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts effectively

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or CRM tools is an advantage
