Job Description

Position Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Screen Printing Technical Operator to manage the production and quality of printed materials in a packaging and container manufacturing facility. You will handle both manual and automatic screen-printing machines, mix inks, ensure accurate alignment, and troubleshoot any production issues. The role includes maintaining detailed production records, performing routine maintenance, adhering to health and safety standards, and ensuring timely delivery of products that meet quality requirements. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, experienced in screen printing, and capable of managing production efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Manning & Production

  • Mix inks to match color specifications accurately

  • Align screens and materials to ensure correct image placement

  • Troubleshoot and resolve printing issues like smudging, misalignment, or equipment malfunctions

  • Maintain production records including quantities, materials, and job specifications

  • Operate assigned screen-printing machines to meet daily targets

  • Conduct quality checks and package products according to guidelines

  • Ensure machine breakdowns are resolved quickly

  • Manage material flow to reduce waste and avoid damage

Planning & Coordination

  • Ensure materials are picked from stores on time to prevent delays

  • Organize printing, drying, and packaging processes efficiently

Maintenance

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of screen-printing machines

  • Monitor machine operating parameters and report abnormalities

  • Complete work order forms accurately

Working Area / Health and Safety

  • Keep the working area clean and comply with factory cleaning schedules

  • Follow all communicated safety procedures at all times

Key Requirements:

  • Diploma or Certificate in Printing or Mechanical Engineering

  • Over 3 years’ experience in screen printing as a machine operator or technical operator

  • Experience in plastic industry operations is an advantage

  • Hands-on experience with both manual and automatic screen printing

  • Knowledge of other printing forms like offset or flexo is a plus
