Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive Key Accounts Sales Supervisor to manage distributor relationships and assigned customer accounts in Nairobi. You will oversee distributor performance, conduct trade audits, manage merchandisers, and ensure product visibility and compliance with brand standards. This role requires analyzing sales trends, providing market insights, supporting marketing campaigns, and delivering results that meet or exceed sales targets. The ideal candidate is self-driven, highly organized, and skilled in building relationships with both distributors and customers to grow market share.
Key Responsibilities:
Distributor Management & Performance
Build and maintain strong working relationships with distributors to drive sales growth
Ensure sales targets are achieved across all product categories
Monitor distributor compliance with pricing, promotions, and sales strategies
Conduct regular performance reviews and support distributors in business plan execution
Sales Execution & Market Coverage
Manage assigned customer accounts independently to ensure consistent sales growth
Oversee timely order processing, delivery follow-ups, and stock replenishment
Identify new business opportunities and track market trends to inform strategy
Trade Audits & Merchandising
Conduct trade audits to prevent stockouts and ensure compliance with pricing and promotions
Supervise merchandisers to maintain optimal product placement and shelf visibility
Align merchandising activities with brand guidelines and promotional campaigns
Team Coordination & Third-Party Management
Manage and coach merchandisers and third-party teams to achieve performance targets
Monitor field team productivity and provide guidance for improvement
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare regular sales and performance reports
Track distributor and customer KPIs and provide actionable insights
Evaluate trade activities and promotions to maximize ROI
Collaboration & Market Intelligence
Work with marketing to plan and execute campaigns
Provide feedback on competitor activity, market trends, and customer preferences
Advise on emerging opportunities and risks requiring strategic adjustments
Key Requirements:
Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or related field
Minimum 3 years of sales experience with a proven record of achieving targets
Experience managing distributors and conducting trade audits
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or in a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
