Role Overview
As the Web Manager, you will take full ownership of our online platforms, ensuring every page loads quickly, stays secure, and presents the brand consistently. Your day-to-day work blends technical maintenance—updates, backups, and hosting coordination—with hands-on creative production, including banners, landing pages, and campaign visuals. By turning website analytics into practical improvements, you will directly support our marketing objectives and help strengthen the company's digital footprint in Kenya's IT and digital media space.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the ongoing health of corporate websites: install core updates, monitor plugins, and run regular backups to minimize security risks and avoid downtime.
- Test the site across mobile and desktop devices, fixing broken links, layout irregularities, and slow-loading elements as they emerge.
- Act as the main point of contact with hosting providers and domain registrars, resolving server issues and keeping infrastructure stable.
- Publish and maintain content through WordPress or similar CMS tools—product pages, service descriptions, news updates, and campaign-specific landing pages.
- Design web-focused graphics such as homepage banners, social media visuals, email headers, and online ads while preserving brand guidelines.
- Apply core on-page SEO practices, including meta tags, descriptive alt text, clean URL structures, and internal linking to support organic search growth.
- Review analytics dashboards to understand visitor behavior, traffic sources, and conversion bottlenecks, then compile monthly performance summaries with clear recommendations.
- Coordinate with marketing, design, and content teams to ensure all published material is factually accurate, stylistically aligned, and up to date.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Web Design, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a closely related field.
- At least two years of practical experience managing corporate websites, including CMS administration and production of digital marketing graphics.
- Strong working knowledge of WordPress or an equivalent content management platform.
- Proficiency with graphic design applications such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar tools, with a portfolio demonstrating web-ready visual work.
- Comfort with basic HTML and CSS to adjust layouts, tweak styling, and troubleshoot minor structural issues independently.
- A detail-focused mindset that values visual hierarchy, typography, and consistent brand presentation.
- Ability to interpret website data and turn it into actionable site improvements—this role is not purely technical or purely creative, but a balance of both.
What We Offer / Why Join
- A gross monthly salary of Kshs 50,000, plus direct ownership of the company's web platforms and creative control over digital visuals.
- Room to grow your technical skills in site administration, UI/UX refinement, and data-driven marketing as part of an active digital strategy team.
- A collaborative workplace where you will work alongside content creators, marketers, and business strategists to expand the company's online reach.
