Responsibilities
- Assist in the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of various animal cases.
- Administer prescribed medications, vaccinations, and routine veterinary treatments.
- Conduct comprehensive animal health assessments and oversee patient follow-up care.
- Educate clients on best practices for animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention.
- Maintain precise and up-to-date treatment logs and patient medical records.
- Assist in the collection of laboratory samples and the execution of basic diagnostic tests.
- Participate actively in field visits, regional vaccination drives, and community outreach programs.
- Ensure full compliance with established clinic policies and national veterinary regulations.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Animal Health and Production or a related veterinary field.
- Mandatory registration with the Kenya Veterinary Board (KVB).
- Possession of a valid and current KVB practicing license.
- Proven experience in handling and treating large animals.
- Solid understanding of animal healthcare protocols and safe handling techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interaction.
- Ability to work efficiently and adapt to a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic computer literacy for digital record-keeping and reporting.
